The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) opened October 1, 2014, as part of the Academic Affairs Division of UAMS. Duties of the OUR include student records and enrollment for all colleges and academic programs at UAMS. The office focuses on improving service to students and streamlining business processes by bringing together in a single office the registrar staff traditionally embedded separately within the five colleges and Graduate School. As part of the campus Performance Excellence Initiative, this consolidated office will deliver a consistent, student-centered experience and streamlined procedures. Staff in the new office play a critical role in the configuration and implementation of the new UAMS Student Information System, “GUS” (Gateway for UAMS Students), which is currently underway.
